Dorian left devastation in its wake, but thankfully our center at Just Kidding Childcare was spared. Still here to serve our community.
Dorian began as a tropical wave along western Africa on August 19, remaining a disorganized system until August 23, when its defined thunderstorm activity centralized, and it began to make its way across the Atlantic. The tropical storm skated the Lesser Antilles before making landfall in the Bahamas on September 1. From there, it continued parallel to Florida, expanding its wind field, travelling along the coast of the Carolinas, before finally drifting upwards to Nova Scotia as an extratropical cyclone. That is its status as of September 7th. Dorian left devastation in its wake, especially along the North Carolina Sounds and Islands, with flooding, and inland with power outages and humanitarian emergencies, but thankfully our center at Just Kidding Childcare was spared. Still here to serve our community. Safe through the storm.
